Hailing from the beautiful Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Leroy Moulton started his journey with Royal Caribbean onboard Song of Norway. 36 years later, he’s still as happy as ever working with the company.

For Leroy, every day is a great day, and his smiles and laughter are proof of it. It’s hard not to smile when talking to him; his personality lights up the room! What more could you ask for when speaking with our crew about their experience with the company?

When asked how guests feel about Royal Caribbean, Leroy proudly stated, “Royal Caribbean is one of the top brands in the world. The guests are very excited to come onboard and see what we can offer them – nice food, bar service, excellent cuisine. They love it!”

With the Propelled by People: Our Stories photo series by Steve McCurry, Leroy joked about his face being plastered everywhere. “I’m world famous!” he laughed. “[When people see our photos,] they’re going to say ‘Whoa!’ People will love the photos and they’ll tell their friends and they’ll book a cruise or come work for Royal Caribbean cruise line.”

So, what makes Leroy feel his best about working with Royal Caribbean Group? “Being with the company for 36 years, [you see] the company grow from four ships to twenty-something ships,” he said, “what inspires me about Royal Caribbean is the guests. The guests experience, expectations, and memories. We try to instill this in the new crew onboard. We give them what we’ve learned. It’s giving back.” “My Facebook friends, they’ll ask, “Leroy, are you still on the ship?” and they come back to see me,” he said. “It’s a memorable thing. Guests come on here and they make me feel proud.”
